I started doing butterflies on soundboards in 1989. For most inlay artists, inlaying into white spruce is a nightmare, hence a lot of time and care is taken in this work. All my designs are unique handcuts and no two are the same. I don't sub-contract any of our inlay work.

Further customizing can be achieved by the use of hand-dyed woods in vibrant colours, for distinctly African-style inlays.
